What Is the QECS?
QECS is a merit-based partial scholarship offered directly by UQ to international students who have already received an offer of admission. It does not require a separate competition — you apply through the UQ scholarship portal and your academic record is assessed automatically.
Eligibility
- International student with a valid UQ offer for Semester 2, 2026
- Academic merit — typically 85% or above in your last completed qualification
- All nationalities including Nepal
- Both undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes

How to Apply from Nepal
- Receive your conditional or unconditional offer from UQ first
- Log in to the UQ Scholarship Portal (scholarships.uq.edu.au)
- Submit your application with attested academic transcripts before 2 June 2026
- Results are typically communicated within 4–6 weeks
