South Asian University (SAU) is established by the heads of state of all 8 SAARC nations and is located in New Delhi. Every admitted Nepali student receives a full tuition waiver and free hostel accommodation automatically — no separate scholarship application required. The 2026–27 admissions close 30 June 2026.
Why SAU Is Unique
Unlike most scholarships that are competitive add-ons to admission, SAU’s funding is embedded — all admitted SAARC students study free of tuition cost. The degree is internationally recognised, and SAU faculty includes senior academics from across South Asia and beyond.
