What Is Multiple Choice, Multiple Answers (Listening)?
You listen to a recording (up to 90 seconds) and choose more than one correct answer from a list of options. Like its Reading counterpart, incorrect answers are penalised.
Scoring
Contributes to Listening only. Each correct selection = +1; each incorrect = −1 (minimum 0 per item).
Strategy
- Read the options before the audio plays — you have some preparation time. Predict which topics might be covered.
- Listen for the speaker’s key claims, not just any mentioned detail.
- Watch for hedging: “might,” “could,” “some argue” — these may indicate an unconfirmed view, not a fact.
- Only select options you are confident the audio supports. Being cautious is more profitable than guessing.
