What Is Highlight Correct Summary?
You listen to a recording (30–90 seconds) and then read several paragraphs. You must click on the paragraph that is the best summary of what you heard. There is only one correct answer.

Contributes to Listening and Reading. 1 point for the correct selection; 0 for incorrect. No penalty for wrong answers.
What Makes a Summary Wrong
- Too specific — focuses on a minor detail the audio only briefly mentioned.
- Contradicts the audio — states the opposite of what was said.
- Too broad or generic — could describe many recordings, not this one.
- Contains unmentioned information — adds ideas not in the audio.
The Correct Summary
- Accurately captures the main point of the recording.
- Paraphrases — does not copy the exact wording from the audio.
- Covers the scope of the recording: not just one part.
Strategy
- During the audio, note the main topic and the speaker’s key claim.
- After the audio, read all summaries quickly. Eliminate obvious wrong ones first.
- Compare the remaining options against your notes from the audio.
